How our pricing works

We price each job on distance over the whole trip, from our base in Randburg and back. You get a personalised written quote before anything is booked, and we are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices.

Prices

We don't publish a fixed rate card, because every job is different. Your price depends on the collection and delivery addresses, the size and weight of the load, the vehicle it needs, loading help, urgency and vehicle availability.

Every job, from a single urgent delivery to a long-distance trip, is quoted individually and in writing. We don't show automatic or online prices: send us the details or WhatsApp a photo of the load, and we'll reply with a personalised written quote.

We quote same-day delivery, pallet transport, a bakkie or van with driver, car and equipment transport, furniture removals and long-distance transport this way.

Why the whole trip counts

Our pricing is mainly distance-based, and the distance is the whole trip: the vehicle leaves our base in Randburg, drives to your collection point, delivers your load and comes back to base. Two jobs with the same load can therefore be priced differently, depending on where they start and end.

The quote also takes in tolls, access at both ends, the time the job takes and any special requirements. There's no fixed surcharge just because an address is in a particular suburb, but remote or hard-to-reach locations may cost more. See where we work.

Extras

Extras that may apply

Depending on the booking, these can add to the price. We try to be reasonable about minor delays and don't automatically charge for every small one.

Waiting time

The first 30 minutes of waiting time are free. Additional waiting charges apply where relevant, at collection or delivery.

Loading and offloading assistance

Charged separately unless it is specifically included in your quotation. Our standard transport service includes a driver responsible for transporting and safely securing the load. Tell us about any stairs, difficult access or long carries when you request a quotation.

After hours, weekends and public holidays

Collections or deliveries after hours, or on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.

Toll roads

Tolls on the route the vehicle takes.

Additional stops

Each extra collection or drop-off point on the same trip.

Overnight accommodation

For the driver, on longer trips that can't be done in one day.

Special equipment or handling

Loads that need particular equipment or careful handling.

Higher-value loads

Every trip is covered by our goods-in-transit insurance with King Price, up to R100,000 per trip, subject to the policy's terms, exclusions and excess. If your load is worth more, tick the goods-in-transit box on the quote form: we quote extra cover for the trip where it can be arranged.

Changes to the agreed load

If the load, the addresses or the timing change after the quote.

FAQ

Pricing questions

Can't see your question? Ask on WhatsApp (opens in a new tab) or read all questions and answers.

Why don't you publish a price list?

Because every transport job is different. The price depends on the collection and delivery addresses, the weight and size of the load, labour, urgency and vehicle availability. We'd rather give you an accurate written quote than show a fixed price that doesn't fit your job.

Every job, from a single urgent delivery to a long-distance trip, is quoted individually and in writing.

Why is the trip back to your base part of the price?

Because the vehicle has to come from our base in Randburg to your collection point, and return to base after delivery. Our distance-based pricing covers that whole trip, not only the distance between your two addresses.

What extra charges can apply?

Depending on the booking, extra charges may apply for:

  • waiting time (the first 30 minutes are free)
  • after-hours collections or deliveries
  • weekends and public holidays
  • toll roads
  • loading and offloading assistance, unless it is included in your quotation
  • stairs, difficult access or long carrying distances
  • additional stops
  • overnight accommodation
  • special equipment or handling
  • changes to the agreed load or collection and delivery arrangements

For a higher-value load, your quote confirms what cover applies; if more cover is needed, we tell you how it can be arranged. We try to be reasonable about minor delays and don't automatically charge for every small one.

Do you charge more for some areas?

There's no fixed surcharge just because an address is in a particular suburb. The quote reflects the total trip distance, tolls, access, travel time and any special requirements. Remote or difficult-to-access locations may cost more.

What if I need to cancel or change a booking?

Tell us as soon as possible. Changes to the agreed load or to the collection and delivery arrangements can change the price. Our cancellations and refunds policy sets out what applies if you cancel.

Is my load covered while it's in transit?

Yes. Every trip is covered by our goods-in-transit insurance with King Price, up to R100,000 per trip, subject to the policy's terms, exclusions and excess.

If your load is worth more than R100,000, tick the goods-in-transit box on the quote form and tell us its approximate value. We quote extra cover for the trip where it can be arranged, before you book.
