Delivery policy
This delivery policy explains how collection and delivery work for transport jobs booked with Load and Go Logistics (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2025/864432/07), trading as Load & Go Logistics. We provide a transport service (your goods on a dedicated vehicle with a driver); we do not sell or ship products. This policy forms part of our terms of service. Where your written quote says something different about your job, the quote applies.
How a job is booked and confirmed
- We price every job individually and quote in writing. Quotations are generally valid for seven days, subject to fuel-price adjustments, availability and any conditions stated in the quotation.
- A booking is made when you accept the quote in writing (by WhatsApp or email) or pay it, and we confirm the date in writing.
- Local jobs are paid in full before dispatch, unless agreed otherwise in writing; long-distance jobs need a 75% deposit before dispatch and 25% on delivery.
Where we collect and deliver
- Across Gauteng from our base in Randburg, and on dedicated long-distance trips from Gauteng to other parts of South Africa.
- For bigger and heavier loads within Gauteng, we can arrange a 32-ton flatbed tri-axle truck with a Moffett through our trusted transport network, subject to availability and load suitability. It is not one of our own vehicles.
- We do not offer cross-border transport, and some goods we do not transport: see dangerous goods and prohibited items.
Collection and delivery times
- The collection date and time window are agreed for each booking and confirmed in writing. If no date has been agreed, we will do the job within 30 days of your order.
- Same-day and urgent jobs: there is no fixed cut-off; we assess each request and tell you whether we can do it.
- Long-distance jobs: book in advance, ideally confirmed by about 18:00 the day before. This is a guideline, not a strict cut-off. Long-distance delivery times are estimates.
At collection and delivery
- Our standard transport service includes a driver responsible for transporting and safely securing the load. Loading and offloading assistance can be arranged at an additional charge unless expressly included in the written quotation. It covers loading onto and offloading from the vehicle; carrying items into or out of buildings is by prior arrangement only.
- Please arrange safe and legal access for the vehicle at both addresses (including any permission to enter an estate or site) and someone at each address to hand over and receive the load. Tell us about stairs, narrow access or long carrying distances when you ask for a quote.
- Waiting time: the first 30 minutes of waiting time are free, with additional waiting charges applying where relevant, at the rate stated on your quote.
Proof of delivery
We take photographic proof of delivery after every job and send it to you by WhatsApp or email. You can also sign a delivery acknowledgement on request.
Checking your goods and when our responsibility ends
- Our responsibility for your goods ends, and the risk passes back to you, once they have been offloaded at the agreed drop-off point.
- Check your goods at delivery. Point out any visible damage to the driver before the driver leaves, and take photos. Report damage you could not see at delivery in writing as soon as you can, ideally within 7 days, with photos.
- Goods-in-transit cover is confirmed on each quote. See our responsibility for your goods.
Delays
- If an unavoidable delay comes up, including one outside our control such as a road closure or severe weather, we tell you as soon as we know and complete the job as soon as it is safe and practical.
- If we cannot do the job on the confirmed date because of a problem on our side (for example a vehicle breakdown), you choose: a new date, or a full refund of what you paid for that job.
If a collection or delivery cannot go ahead
- If nobody is at the collection address to hand over the load, access is blocked, or the load cannot be carried safely or legally as described, we first try to sort it out with you, for example with an updated quote. If the job still cannot go ahead, it is treated as a cancellation after the vehicle has left: see cancellations, rescheduling and refunds.
- If nobody is at the delivery address to receive the load, we contact you to agree what happens next (waiting, delivering later or returning the load) and agree any extra cost with you before we do it.
Cancelling or moving a booking
Cancelling or rescheduling 24 hours or more before the booked collection time costs nothing. The full rules are in our cancellations, rescheduling and refunds policy.
